Five Reasons Why Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Rocks
Walt Disney World features over 25 different resorts and all of them offer something unique for every taste and budget with a wide range of theming and proximity to Disney parks. There are so many benefits to staying in the Disney bubble (access to transportation, early theme park entry, etc) and I always recommend staying “onsite” to my clients and friends planning a trip to Walt Disney World. One of my favorite areas to stay is over by EPCOT and Disney’s Yacht Club is a great choice for so many reasons! I’m highlighting my five favorite reasons below:

Walk to Epcot
Anytime you can walk to a theme park, you are SET! This may sound counterintuitive with the 25,000 steps you plan to rack up during your day, but I’m telling you this is such an enormous perk! You can stroll from your room and five minutes later you’re scanning your tickets. No frantic rush to the bus, no taking a picture of your car in a sea of parking lot vehicles. Plus, when it’s time for a break or the park is closing, again-you just stroll back to the Yacht Club where you get to enjoy all the other amenities, including…

Stormalong Bay
Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts share the largest pool complex on Disney property and with a three-acre water wonderland featuring a lazy river, a shipwreck water slide, and a sand bottom pool, you don’t even need park tickets to have the best day ever at Walt Disney World!

Boat or Skyliner over to Hollywood Studios
You get to start your day on an attraction! Seriously, what percentage of your life is spent flying on a gondola or boating with Disney views? Disney’s Skyliner is a quick walk from the Yacht Club and the Friendship Boats leave from the dock located just outside Yacht Club’s doors to the Boardwalk area.

Dining on the Boardwalk
This may surprise you, but Walt Disney World has wonderful dining options and staying at Yacht Club gets you access to so many great restaurants, including character meals, bakeries, ice cream shops, grab and go, Italian gems and steakhouses!

Lobby
Dare I say it’s one of the best on Disney property? It may not be as grand or as whimsical as some, but between the Fraser Fir smells and the nautical theming, this place is super cozy and a tad moody (in a good way) and it will begin and end your day on the right foot.

Staying on property at a Disney Resort also gets you access to so many different activities including pool games, movies under the stars, campfires, trivia and so much more.
