Ten Tips for Visiting Disneyland Resort
When it comes to making the most of your time at Disneyland, aren’t we all searching for those tips and tricks to make the most of our days? From how to tour efficiently, to which stroller to rent/bring, where to find hidden Mickeys, the best attraction to rope drop, discovering hidden gem menu items–even which ticket gate is the fastest at park opening (hint, it’s #21), there are probably thousands of tips! For starters, I’ve rounded up TEN of my favorite tips below, but would love to hear what your favorite tips are!

- Dining reservations typically open at 6 am PST 60 days prior to each day of your stay. Did you know that making reservations is just one of the many things I take care of for you? And if something is initially booked up, I do have a dining finder subscription that notifies me when that hard to get reservation opens up!
- Sign up for a Disney Visa Card to take advantage of promotions and earn cash back rewards.
- Adding Multi Pass gets you access to all of your Disney Photopass digital photos (even your ride photos!)
- Park tickets should be added to your account prior to your arrival and you can link tickets to multiple accounts. This allows you to manage Lightning Lane reservations easily. (I link your tickets for you!)
- Never cancel a Lightning Lane reservation. Instead, simply modify your selection as this avoids having the two-hour window reset.
- Schedule Lightning Lane reservations for two hours after park opening. Rope drop to take advantage of low wait times during the initial hours after the park opens,
- Mobile Order your food. Right on the app, you can view menus, place your order and schedule your pick up time. Game changer and so easy to do!
- Bring flip flops for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Grizzly River Run to keep you shoes and socks dry.
- Fill up your water bottle with complimentary water cups at quick service dining locations
- Take advanatage of Early Entry Hours. When you stay onsite at one of the three Disney owned hotels (Pixar Place, Disneyland Hotel & Villas and Disney’s Grand Californian) you get 30 minutes early access to select attractions, dining and shopping at either Disneyland or California Adventure on specific mornings.
