Five Reasons I Recommend Park Hoppers At The Disneyland Resort

Park Hoppers are a park ticket add on that allow ticket holders to access BOTH theme parks at the Disneyland Resort: Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. As of now, you can hop to the second park anytime after 11:00 am, but need to have scanned into the first park prior. I always recommend adding park hoppers onto your Disneyland Vacation and here are five reasons why:
1. Park Proximity: For those of you familiar with Walt Disney World, you will be amazed when you see how close Disneyland and California Adventure are to each other. From leaving the main gates of one park, its less than 100 steps between the two. It’s a hop, skip and a jump and in less than five minutes a you’ve got access to another theme park with all of the attractions, entertainment, shopping and dining options.
2. Maximize Your Tickets: Both Disneyland and California Adventure can close early on select evenings for special parties and events, but one theme park is typically open longer than the other. With park hoppers, you can visit the park open later and make the most of your park tickets by enjoying a longer evening in a park.
3. Fireworks Flexibility: This area of California is prone to winds and with the surrounding residential area near Disneyland, fireworks will be canceled if winds are a threat. Fireworks are the perfect night cap to your Disneyland day, and if you only have a few nights to see them, having park hoppers will allow you the flexibility to hop over to Disneyland on another evening, increasing your odds of seeing the show.
4. Maximize Genie+ Attractions: Did you know that you can make a Genie+ reservation for an attraction in California Adventure while in Disneyland (and vice versa)? Park Hoppers make Genie+ that much more valuable and you can be stacking your favorite attractions throughout your day.
5. Disney Dining Reservation Odds: Restaurant reservations at the Disneyland Resort open 60 days prior to your arrival date and the most popular restaurants are competitive and will fill up immediately! Having the flexibility with increased park days and hours that park hoppers allow will increase your odds of scoring your favorite restaurant reservation. (Tip: I also have access to a dining reservation subscription where I can monitor reservations as they become available and this is something I love to do for clients).

Hello Ryen, I’m looking to visit Disneyworld the end of this year or early January 2025. I would like to take my son and 2 grandsons, ages 12 and 13. We are interested at the Epcot Center and Universal Studios. We would need flights from Arizona to Florida and hotel prices. Hoping not to have a car, but would not rule it out. None of us are experienced travelers and safety is very important. All inclusive as much as possible. I am a senior trying to keep up with my son and grandkids, so getting from point A to B to C with ease, would help me. Your information was provided to me by my daughter, Brooke T.
Can you help us?
Thank you, Karen Toldness
