Five GRAND Amenities at Moon Palace The Grand

|

So, you’re ready to head to Mexico, but are feeling overwhelmed with all the different options of where to stay? I get it! Cancun has the largest number of all-inclusive resorts options of anywhere in the Caribbean and with all that variety, complete overwhelm can set in. If you’re looking for a resort with top notch dining, wonderful pools, a huge waterpark and activities for all ages, look no further than the stunning Moon Palace The Grand in the Riviera Maya. A short fifteen minute drive from the Cancun International Airport, this family-friendly, all-inclusive is one of my top recommendations.

Resort Overview

First up, a quick overview about this incredible resort! Moon Palace The Grand offers gorgeous luxury suites with whirlpool tubs, a stocked minibar, 24-hour room service and high quality bath products. Swim-out suites are available and several rooms can accommodate families of five plus. These rooms are spacious, bright and I loved the marble accents. Moon Palace The Grand is a large property featuring 11 restaurants, 12 bars, a beach club, nine outdoor pools (one is adult only) and five swim up bars. The resort does have golf carts to easily transport guests around the property. Plus. when you stay at Grand Moon Palace, you also get access to all the amenities at the Moon Palace Resorts next door. I loved my stay here and I’m sharing below my top five reasons why you should consider staying at Moon Palace The Grand.

Activities

Featuring the most colorful kids club, a teen lounge, a night club, arcade, a six-lane bowling alley, kayaks, paddleboards, pool games, tennis courts, basketball courts, fitness classes, mini-golf, and bikes to cruise the property, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Moon Palace The Grand. Plus, did you know unlimited rounds of golf at their Jack Nicklaus Signature 27-hole golf course are also included?

Water Park

Young or old, who doesn’t love a water park? And with the variety of slides for all ages, lazy river, surf simulator, wave pool, splash pads and playful theming, your entire family will be entertained here. Plus, there are loungers and umbrellas available if you just need to relax and read a book while your kids hot lap.

Awe Spa

Get ready to exhale with your visit to the Awe Spa! This beautiful, inviting space (over 76,000 square feet) offers everything from massages, to facials, to body wraps. The entire experience is elevated by the complimentary hydrotherapy and spa circuit rooms that are included with any treatment. Saunas, steam rooms, ice rooms, and rain showers, along with face, body and hair masks, your journey wraps up on a heated lounger with a scalp and shoulder massage.

The Hydrotherapy room is impressive with its marble walls and sparkling pillars featuring a main pool, cold plunge and jacuzzi. You can read more about my experience at Le Blanc Resort and Spa in Los Cabos and why it was one of my favorite perks of staying at a Palace Resort.

Dining

When you think of an all-inclusive, does a buffet with the same old choices come to mind? The new all-inclusive experience is nothing like that and Palace Resorts set the bar with impressive menus featuring Asian, Mexican, Caribbean, Italian, Lebanese and Peruvian cuisine. They even offer a restaurant themed especially for kids called the Circus with a delightful menu and entertainment. Beyond their table service restaurants, the attention to detail and unique offerings at their snack and coffee shops are delightful including charcuterie style appetizers, a jaw dropping assortment of chocolates and pastries, fresh churros, and made to order cocktails with an impressive list of fresh ingredients.

Unique Spaces

Part of being on vacation is enjoying something new and unique, am I right? While I gravitate towards being out in nature, there were two spaces at Moon Palace The Grande that elevated the bar/lounge experience. First up: the Lobby Bar with its stunning, giant glass structure adorning the celling. Designed to represent a coral reef, this incredible piece of art is a gorgeous fixture that will draw you in. The second unique space at the Grand is a speakeasy that you access through a secret bookcase. Not only is the entry delightful, the experience inside is themed after the roaring 20’s and the bartenders serve hand crafted cocktails with names like the Spicy Rusty Nail, Rose Berry Clover Club and the Chocolate Manhattan.
